Rules

We only have 3 rules, but they are enforced so pay attention!

I wish I could say, "there's no rules!" And then enjoy the mass chaos that quickly ensues, but we already tried that and it wasn't as fun as you'd think. As it turns out, Minecraft servers sort of do need rules.  This helps maximize the amount of fun you'll have on the server.

Rule 1: No cheating

Rule 2: No bad words

Rule 3: Treat others the way you would like to be treated

Rule 1: No cheating

As it turns out, the Minecraft community has people who like to cheat by using plug-ins and whatnots. So our moderators, (obvWolf in particular) installed an anti-cheating system that automatically bans people for trying to hack our game.

Rule 2: No bad words

Another thing the Minecraft community has is an endless stream of derogatory distasteful inhumane jokes that get spammed in the chat. So we (obvWolf in particular) added a plug-in that moderates the chat automatically. If you type a bad word in the chat, not only will your message not show but you'll be automatically muted for one hour. If you think you're clever and found a "creative way" to cuss in the server like typing F.U.C.K.T.A.R.D. instead of F**ktard and our auto-bot doesn't catch you... guess what... our moderators are always online and we will mute you for two hours.

Now before you go on thinking we are Hitler trying to silence the Jews, please look at this from our perspective. The point of the chat is so we can communicate, get to know each other, help one another, and make friends. When there was no moderation in the chat, people seemed to spam a LOT of non-sense that might have been funny for a very short moment but quickly became annoying and flat out gross. Then we began moderating the chat and guess what happened!?

The quality of the conversations became much higher. People began to act like actual human-beings again. There was comradery and laughter in the air. And most importantly, we were able to make real friendships which simply wasn't possible while Spammer69 kept typing Buttlicker Buttlicker Buttlicker over and over and over again.

Rule 3: Treat others the way you would like to be treated

This is Mafurt's life motto. It's also the most famous teaching of Jesus Christ, but more importantly it's Mafurt's life motto so we made it a rule. And listen! We aren't saying this vaguely. It's an actual rule that we enforce. Many smaller rules could be assumed from this principle, for example, don't harass people. Don't bully people. Don't share other people's coordinates to a secret unclaimed base when you know they don't want you to.

If you can't understand this principle, "treat others the way you would like to be treated" then you're not socially matured enough for our server. And we RARELY feel that way about strangers, but this is the internet so understandably, and unfortunately, some people feel like they must show the worse versions of themselves. That will not be tolerated.
